The holidays, such as they were are over, and I return to work with an early morning flight down to London.

I’m not big on Christmas. As a non-religious person in an increasingly secular society, I’m almost always glad to see the back of it. As a “holiday” it is particularly stressful, and the spiritual significance has all but been lost in an orgy of consumerism.
One thing I do miss, as we move into January, is the lights. After a month of having the streets and homes lit up, the long, dark, dreary days of January can seem especially bleak.
Roll on spring…

Sometimes a scene just grabs your attention. The lighting, the setting just seem to work for no reason you can fathom. This was one of these, taken with just the available street-lighting.

First day of the year. First day of a new project. One down, 364. Looking forward to seeing how this develops.
